How do I delete an account?
You cannot delete an account through the MyPerfectGift
® web site.
You can delete the gifts, favorites and information in a registry under your account but you cannot delete the account itself.
If you wish to have your account deleted please use the Contact Us form and let us know.
Your account will be deleted for you.

Accounts with no activity will automatically be deleted after 6 months
What if I forget my password for my MyPerfectGift ® account?
Click on the Sign In box
enter your email address then click on Forgot Password.
A temporary password will be sent to the email address you provided at sign up.
Sign in using the temporary password then go to the Profile page to reset your password

My Profile
Enter the desired password
Re enter to confirm password
Click
Save Changes
Can I have more than 1 gift registry?
What is the difference between a Public and a Private Registry?
A Public registry is available without a password. To change a registry from Public to Private click on My Registries then click on the pencil icon next to the title of the registry you would like to edit.
In the Edit Registry Properties box select Private and enter the Password you want to use for this registry.
The Password is required in order to view a Private Registry.
If you create a Private Registry, be sure to give the password to the people that you want to be able to view the registry.
Share your Registry
Can I change my registry from Public to Private or from Private to Public?
Yes, you may change a Public Registry to Private or a Private Registry to Public.

º SAVE changes
Be sure to share the password with your Friends and Family that you want to have access to your Private Registry.

Yes, you may create a registry from anywhere.
How do I add an item to my list of gifts?
There are 4 ways to add gifts to any registry. Check out the

1.Click on FIND GIFT button. Enter an item in the "Search for a Gift" field to see gifts from Amazon, Macy's and Target. To add one of these items to your registry Click the "Add to My Registry" link and the item will show on the registry you designate.
2. Click on ADD GIFT MANUALLY. Enter your gift information manually in the "ADD TO REGISTRY" box.
Required fields are Gift Title, Category and Registry
3. Click on USE BROWSER BUTTON to Download the MyPerfectGift ® Browser Button and Click on the ADD TO MYPERFECT GIFT button in your toolbar when you find the item you want from any retail web site.
4. Click the COPY buttons for Sample and Celebrity registries to COPY any gift on the Sample, Celebrity or other members public registries to your own registry.

How do I edit an item on my list of gifts?
To edit an item on a registry:
You can edit the information on any item directly on your Registry.
Click on the "pencil" icon to Edit details for that Gift.
Save any changes.
How do I delete an item from my list of gifts?
You can delete an item directly from your registry.
Click on the red X icon to delete that item.
How do I delete a registry?
Click on My Registries in the navigation box.
In the box with the Registry you wish to delete click on the red X.
The selected Registry will be deleted
How do I find another member's registry?
Click on
Locate A Registry and enter an email address, name and address or just the state and scroll through the public registries.
If you cannot find a Registry for the person you want, send them an email to invite them to create a Registry and tell them to let you know.
How do I create a new category?
In the navigation box Click on the
Add Custom Gift Categories link
Scroll down to the Add New Gift Registry Category box and enter the Category Title you want and a description.
Click Create Category and that category will now be on the Category List when you add gifts to your registries.
How do I import a Friends and Family list from another member?
The MyPerfectGift ® member who has created a Friends & Family list can share that list with other MyPerfectGift ® members.
From the MyPerfectGift navigation box in the upper right corner of your page, click on
Add to Family Circle
Choose the list you wish to share and click on the blue arrow Share icon
Fill in the info in the Share List lightbox and click
Share List.
How do I create a "one click" link to friend's and family member's registries?
In order to add the contact to your Friends & Family Circle one click list they must be a MyPerfectGift ® member and be registered under the same email address you show in the contact information form.
Fill out the Add Friends & Family form with the name and email address of that person and if they are a MyPerfectGift ® member you will have a one click link to them.
How do I share my registry with friends and family?
Click on the blue
Share This Registry button near the title of the registry and fill out the Share Registry form.
How do I see the gifts I have put on hold for others?
How many gifts can I put on hold?
You may put up to 4 gifts on HOLD for any member's registry
Each gift can be on HOLD for a maximum of 2 weeks.
This is to give you a chance to make a purchase and reduce the chance of duplicate gifts for the recipient.
Please remember to release any gifts that you do not plan to purchase so others may see those are available on the Registry. Review My Gifts On Hold
How do I take a hold off a gift on a registry?
In the navigation box Click on the
Gifts On Hold link.
This takes you to the My Gifts On Hold page where all gifts you have put on Hold will be listed.
To remove the HOLD, just click the "Remove Hold" link on that gift item.
Do I have to show a shipping address on my registry?
No, the Shipping Address field is totally optional.
You could list your office or a relative's address for shipping convenience for your friends & family.
How do I create or edit my Favorites list?
Click on the "edit" link in the Favorites box on the Registry you wish to edit.
Click on the pencil icon to edit each item.
How do I create or edit my Dream list?
Click the edit link on the Dream List box of the Registry you wish to edit.
Click on the pencil icon to edit each item.
How do I create a Reminder?
In the navigation box Click on the
My Reminders link.
Choose dates/holidays from the prepopulated list or
create custom reminders using the Create New Reminder box.
Click on the pencil icon to change the frequency for reminder alerts.
The default email alert for the prepopulated holidays/dates is 14 days.
You may choose to receive email alerts for 30, 14, 7 and/or 1 day reminders.
Can I choose how much in advance I want to receive reminders?
Yes, the choices are 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, or 1 day .
You may choose any or all options.
Why am I not getting my reminder alert emails?
From the Shortcuts>> tab
Click on
Create/Edit Reminders
Click on
Manage Reminders to see the dates of the Reminders and the frequency is correct.
The reminder alert emails are sent to the email address registered on your MyPerfectGift ® profile
How do I edit an existing birthday or event reminder?
From the Shortcuts>> tab, click Create/Edit Reminders.
Under the Event list, click the pencil icon for the event you would like to edit.
Scroll down to the Edit Reminder box to edit the information relating to that event.
Click Set Reminder to save any changes
How do I invite friends and family to create their own registry?
Click on the Invite a Friend link at the top of the page and fill out the Invite A Friend email to everyone you care about.
How do I report inappropriate content on a member's public registry?
In the row of links at the bottom of every page you will find the Report Abuse link.
Click on the Report Abuse link and fill in the appropriate information.
How do I create or edit the Also Registered At box on the Wedding and Baby registries?
On the registry page Click the "edit" link in the Also Registered At box
Enter the name and URL of retail stores where you have in-store gift registries
Can the registry owner see the gifts that have been placed on HOLD?
No. The registry owner does not see that gifts have been placed on HOLD.
Anyone, other than the owner of the registry, will see that the "Buy Now" button has been replaced by "This gift is on HOLD"
I forgot the password on my private registry, what do I do?
From the Shortcuts>> tab
click Manage My Registries
Select the private registry you want
Reset the password for your private registry
Tell anyone that you want to see your private registry, about your new password.
Please explain the MyPerfectGift ® Browser Button.
The Browser Button is a "quick link" that says "Add to My Perfect Gift ®" and sits in the toolbar at the top of your browser's page.
It allows you to add gifts to your Registry from any retail web site.
Currently the browsers supported are Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
Follow the instructions to download the Add to My Perfect Gift ® Browser Button.
It's easy, just
click on it and drag the green button up to your toolbar.
Use the quick link/Browser Button to add a gift from the product detail page of any retail web site.
When you click on Add to My Perfect Gift ® in your toolbar, a window will open allowing you to:
1. Choose the image you wish to appear on your Registry
2. Choose the gift category
3. Choose the Registry you wish to add the gift to
You may also enter price/size/color information and add or edit the description you wish to appear on your Registry.
If you are using AOL or another non-supported browser you may wish to download Google Chrome in order to use the quick link/
Browser Button to add gifts from retail web sites.
What is the Screen name?
Entering a Screen name on the Register for Free page gives you a quick link to your registries that you can use or share with friends and family.
You can edit your Screen name on the
Profile page.
E.g. If the Screen name you choose is "Joe" you would have a quick link to your registries by entering www.myperfectgift.com/joe

How do I put items on HOLD in a Kidlet Registry ® I created?
For any Registries created under your account, you cannot put items on HOLD or see which items were put on HOLD by others.
You could ask a Friend or Family member to put items on HOLD for Kidlet Registries ® under your account so your Kidlets don't know which gifts they are getting before the big day!
Privacy issue. My friends and family need a shipping address on my registry but I do not want to have personally identifiable information on a Public Registry. What do you suggest?
We agree that you want to limit the amount of personally identifiable information you show on a Public registry.
Don't use last names on your registry.
You could put your street address without the city in the Shipping Address section.
Your friends and family know what city you live in and can easily google the zip code, if necessary.
How do I designate my Top 5 Gifts?
On your Registry Clicking on the green check mark will put the first gift clicked in the fifth place, the next gift clicked will show in 4th place, the next gift clicked will show in 3rd place, and so on to designate your Top 5.
